Ayatul Kursi English Translation

Understanding the English translation of Ayatul Kursi helps uncover its powerful message — one that centers on faith, divine protection, and submission to Allah’s will.
Each line of this verse declares Allah’s eternal dominion, mercy, and complete control over creation. Reflecting on its meaning deepens faith and inspires humility.

“Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all that exists. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.  Let there be no compulsion in religion, for the truth stands out clearly from falsehood.1 So whoever renounces false gods and believes in Allah has certainly grasped the firmest, unfailing hand-hold. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. Allah is the Guardian of the believers—He brings them out of darkness and into light. As for the disbelievers, their guardians are false gods who lead them out of light and into darkness. It is they who will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.”
